PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI WATTPAD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN BERPIKIR KREATIF DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS PROSA NARASI PADA MAHASISWA SEMESTER 2 PBSI UNIVERSITAS MANDIRI SUBANG
Abstract
Basically everyone is capable of writing, writing skills need to be trained continuously, so that student interest can increase. Besides needing to be trained on an ongoing basis, the selection of learning media also needs to be considered, considering that students' writing skills can be categorized as weak. This study aims to determine the role of the Wattpad application in honing narrative prose writing skills. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest posttest. This research was conducted on 2nd semester PBSI students at Mandiri Subang University. The instrument used in this study was a test in the form of a sheet. The calculation of this research is through testing the average pretest and posttest class, the total value of the pretest and posttest class, knowing the maximum and minimum values, and testing the hypothesis using the Paired sample T-Test. The results showed that student activity increased with an average pretest score of 43.2 and an average posttest of 81.3. The improvement of students' narrative prose writing after using the Wattpad application is in accordance with the results of the gain hypothesis test, namely the probability value or Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.05. The magnitude of the increase in writing ability is indicated by the results of hypothesis testing which states that there are differences in the data from the pretest and posttest results so that there is an increase in learning by looking at the average of each activity. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Wattpad application to improve creative thinking in learning to write narrative prose.
