UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS IV SDN 19 PALEMBANG MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING
Abstract
The research method in this study uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach, which aims to improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The research was conducted at SDN 19 Palembang, which was chosen as the place of implementation because of the need to improve learning outcomes in Mathematics Class IV. The subjects in this study were grade IV students, who were selected as the population, all grade IV students totaling 20 people who became the research sample. The data collection methods used include tests and documentation. At the pre-cycle stage, math learning is still carried out with a conventional approach without applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. Of the 20 students, only 8 students (40%) were able to achieve scores above the predetermined Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 70. In Cycle I, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model began to be applied to improve student learning outcomes. The final test was conducted in the form of 10 multiple-choice questions. The test results showed an improvement compared to the pre-cycle results, where 12 students, or 60% of the total students managed to achieve scores above the Criteria for Minimum Completeness (KKM) with the class average increasing to 68. In Cycle II, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach was applied again with several improvements to optimize learning outcomes. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning achievement in Cycle II compared to Cycle I. As many as 17 students, or about 85% of the total number of students, Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes through the application of the mathematics learning model in class IV SDN 19 Palembang.
