ANALISIS KESALAHAN BERBAHASA DAN STRUKTUR PENULISAN PADA DUA ARTIKEL ILMIAH TENTANG PENGGUNAAN BAHASA DI ERA DIGITAL

Abstract

This study aims to analyze language errors and writing structures in two scientific articles discussing language use in the digital era, namely the article Code Switching and Code Mixing in the Communication Environment of Students of the Faculty of Languages and Arts (Language Analysis Through Sociolinguistic Studies) by Dwinda et al. (2024) and the article Shift and Maintenance of Indonesian Language Varieties in the Digital Era by Nasution et al. (2026). This study used a qualitative descriptive method with documentation study techniques and content analysis. The research data were in the form of words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, and elements of writing structures contained in both articles. The results showed that various language errors were still found, including spelling errors, diction, syntax, and sentence effectiveness. In the article by Dwinda et al. (2024), there were spelling errors, inconsistent use of capital letters, ineffective sentences, and discussions that were still descriptive. Meanwhile, in the article by Nasution et al. (2026), there were the use of several non-standard terms, word repetition, and inaccurate diction that affected the level of formality of the writing. In terms of writing structure, both articles have fulfilled the basic elements of scientific work, but there are still several aspects that need improvement, particularly in the depth of discussion, the clarification of the problem formulation, and the consistency of the references. Therefore, increased accuracy in the use of language and the structure of scientific articles is necessary to improve the quality of academic publications and align them with Indonesian language rules and scientific writing standards.
