PERSEPSI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS BACA AL-QUR’AN SANTRI DI TPQ JARYUL ULUM KEBUMEN

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of active learning strategies in improving the Qur’an reading quality of students at TPQ Jaryul Ulum Kebumen. The problem discussed in this research is how students perceive the implementation of active learning strategies and their impact on Qur’an reading ability. This study aims to identify students’ perceptions of active learning strategies in improving the quality of Qur’an reading. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of students and teachers at TPQ Jaryul Ulum Kebumen. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that active learning strategies had a positive impact on students’ Qur’an reading quality. Students became more active, enthusiastic, and confident during the learning process. In addition, the implementation of discussion methods, direct practice, question-and-answer sessions, and group learning helped improve fluency, accuracy of tajwid, and reading proficiency. Active learning strategies also created a more interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere, making it easier for students to understand Qur’an learning materials. Therefore, active learning strategies are considered effective in improving the Qur’an reading quality of students at TPQ Jaryul Ulum Kebumen.
