Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ abilities of MA At-Tawazun class X in writing folklore through probing prompting model and investigated students’ responses of MA At-Tawazun class X through teaching writing folklore by using probing prompting model. Quantitative research is used as the method of the study with the pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest design. The class was given pre-test and post-test to know the students’ abilities of MA At-Tawazun class X before and after treatment. The questionnaire also used to gain the data about students’ responses of MA At-Tawazun class X through teaching writing folklore by using probing prompting model. The students’ of IIK 1 of MA At-Tawazun class X as a control and experiment class. The research finding shows that the probing prompting model is effective to improve students’ ability of MA At-Tawazun class X in writing folklore. The indicators of the success of by using SPSS 23.0 are that: (1) the mean of pre-test result was 64,14 and post-test result was 85,32 (2) the students’ responses of MA At-Tawazun class X through questionnaires found that the application probing prompting model was very positive.
