ANALISIS KELEKATAN ANTARA IBU BEKERJA DENGAN ANAK USIA 4-6 TAHUN PADA DUA KELUARGA DI PANINGGILAN

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the attachment between working mothers and their children aged 4–6 years in Paninggilan Urban Village, focusing on the difficulties mothers face in balancing dual roles, the efforts made to maintain attachment with their children, and the influence of partner and family support in fostering this relationship. The study employs a qualitative method using a case study approach. The research subjects consist of working mothers with children aged 4–6 years, with additional information gathered from fathers, the children themselves, and family members involved in caregiving. Data collection techniques included semi-structured interviews, observation, documentation, and audiovisual recording, while data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that working mothers face various challenges, such as limited time with their children, work demands, feelings of guilt over being unable to accompany their children through every stage of growth and development, and the complexities of selecting a trusted caregiver. Nevertheless, the attachment between mother and child is maintained through warm communication, the provision of quality time, active involvement in the children's activities, and consistency in showing attention and affection.
