PENERAPAN METODE DEMONSTRASI DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMBELAJARAN IPS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the demonstration method in Social Studies learning to improve elementary school students learning interest. The background of this study is the low interest and learning outcomes of students due to the use of monotonous lecture methods. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 23 Rambatan as the subiects. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The results show that the demonstration method can increase students activeness, motivation, and learning interest. Students become more involved in the learning process through observing, practicing, and discussing activities. In addition, students show greater responsibility and active participation during the learning process.This method is effective because it suits the characteristics of elementary students who better understand material through direct experience
